Fun Puzzle activity

Today my teacher Mrs P said to my class that this week for our work we have a theme and to find out that theme we had to get into our table groups and firstly we got given a envelope full of puzzle pieces to make 3 puzzles. The puzzles were a hippo a boat looking thing and a metal thing that looked like the symbol for the female gender. After solving the puzzles we got given a sheet of paper that had lots of scrambled up words on it and apparently the words had something to do with the pictures and after we had unscrambled the words we had a word find that we had to find the words on and the words were Temple,Africa,Desert,Archaeologist,Snake,Ancient,Camel and Arid. After finding the words in the word find we got given lots of maths questions to answer and after we got each question right my teacher would write a letter on the paper and that letter would be a letter in the word saying what the theme for this weeks learning is.After answering all of the maths questions we got given a map of a country and we had to figure out what country that was and it was Egypt.Lastly we unscrambled all of the letters that we got given from our maths questions and it spelt out Ancient Egypt so Ancient Egypt is our theme of our work this week. Im so exited to see what activities we do around Ancient Egypt and what new things I learn!

This is my work on the table and this is my group!

  1. Kia ora Lily, You have described your introduction to the class topic very clearly. I like the photo of your team in action. Yes Egypt is an extremely interesting place today and in the ancient past. You will love this learning.
