Brunner Mine site

WALT: Research to find the answer.

For this activity we had to think of a key question about the Brunner mine or how It exploded and then we had to search up the answer to that question and write some facts about the Brunner mine and add some pictures of the mine and what it used to look like. Personally I think this activity was really fun and I hope that we get to do more activities about the Brunner mine.

Celebrating My Success in 2018

For this activity we had to put in the pieces of work that we are most proud of or have been successful with such as writing, maths, reading, memorable moments, what I am grateful for and much more. I enjoyed doing this activity and I hope we get to do something else like this. What are you most proud of this year?

Why we celebrate Guy Fawkes

W.A.L.T find key facts about historic events.

Last week it was Guy Fawkes.  One of our literacy tasks was to research the history behind this celebration. I did not know this information before we researched.

Maths Problem Solving

W.A.L.T: Apply our maths strategies to real life word problems.

This week in maths we did a problem solving task and we had to read the questions then answer them using our maths skills. We also had to put in the equation we used to work it out on using words, diagrams and symbols. The questions were all about 5 farm animals. Also we had to highlight the main words in the questions that help us work out what the equation is.

I found this activity fun and I think I'm quite good at it but I need to work on getting to know how to do my fractions a bit better.
