Limerick

 In my class we have been learning how to write limerick poems. At first I found this really challenging but then I kinda got the hang of it. In a limerick poem it has 5 lines. Line 1,2 and 5 have 7-10 syllables and line 3 and 4 should have 5-7 syllables. The first line of a limerick poem usually is "There once was a". Also in a limerick poem the first 2 lines rhyme an then the two after that need to be quite random and they need to rhyme with each other. then the last line needs to rhyme with the first line.

Bird poem

This is my poem about birds.For this activity I had to choose two everyday objects or things and write two poems one about each thing.I chose to write my poems about birds and one about clothes but my favourite one was this birds one so that is why i'm posting this one on my blog and not the other one.I  also don't think a clothes poem would be very interesting.Also we had to pick one of the poems and make a GIF about it so I chose to make my GIF about my birds poem so my GIF had a bird and some trees and bushes in it but I don't know how to post my GIF on my blog.-Enjoy!

For this activity we had to create a list poem. I had no idea what a list poem was but now I know.A list poem is a poem that doesn't have to rhyme. You choose a topic for the poem which is the title and write words or phrases on each line that relates to the title.
