This slide was a slide that we could chose to make and each day we would write something we were grateful for while we are stuck at home.Our teacher gave us this activity because it gives us a chance to write down the positives about being at home and what is happening and what has happened.

What's in the news this week ?

On Wednesday March 11th 2020 a city worker was spraying down disinfectant on public areas such as the Rialto bridge in Venice Italy. "The Corona Virus has swept through Italy like no other western country prompting a nationwide lock down" Alexander Smith said. 
When Covid-19 comes to a new country it is always different and they do not think that other nations will end up like Italy. Some people think that the Corona Virus outbreak cannot be contained.

I think that the Corona Virus in Italy and other countries is getting really bad and people need to try and stay really healthy by having vitamins to help your immune system and washing your hands before eating and after you use the restroom etc.

What is a typical T3 student?

For this activity we had to be on pairs and we had to figure out what is a typical t3 student? Our class is called T3 so we were saying what is a typical student in our class.

My list poem

For this activity we had to create a list poem. I had no idea what a list poem was but now I know.A list poem is a poem that doesn't have to rhyme. You choose a topic for the poem which is the title and write words or phrases on each line that relates to the title.

Visual Mihi

For this activity I had to write down my mihi but make it on a google slide and ad pictures and cool backgrounds to make it pop and stand out.

For this activity we had to choose a word related to Easter that starts with each letter of the alphabet.I think that this activity was very fun and I would definitly do this again.

Easter Acrostic Poem

WALT:Write a poem about Easter.

For this activity we had to write a poem about Easter and I chose to write a Acrostic poem and I tried to add as much detail as I could.

Waiho Bridge recount

For this activity we had to write a recount about the tragity that has happened at A bridge called the Waiho bridge near Franz Joseph Glacier in the west coast of the south island.Also for this activity we had to use the same strategy that I used in the previous Blog post.We had to use the 5 ws,some connective words a introduction,a conlusion and facts.

Did you know that near the Waiho bridge is the Franz Joseph Glacier so when the river was in flood there where big pieces of ice coming down?

Were:underneath of the Waiho bridge south of Franz Joseph Glacier on the west coast was in flood and it was starting to damage the bridge this Why:happened due to the heavy rain and strong winds Luckily they had closed the bridge 1 hour before this happened.

Adjective: A we while after that some parts of the bridge were getting aggressively ripped off.This would have been very scary if you were stuck on one side of the Big messy river river and your family being on the other side and you couldn’t get home.

How: Next the Big long Bridge Bridge was only half a bridge and the other half

was Speedingly drifting down the river.Some people saw this happening were Who: people that lived nearby and some people were just visiting the Franz Joseph Glaciers and the police.

They must have gotten a fright!!!!

After that all of the bridge had suddenly disappeared and there was no bridge and it had became very dangerous because the river was in flood of coarse and it was flowing very fast and could easily sweep you off your feet and down into the water so you will have to be careful.

Conclusion: I think that this is really terrible because lots of people like to go to the glaciers and now they can’t also some people might be stuck up there. It was scary how the river was so strong to actually knock the bridge over.

I waited for the Bus

For this activity we had to Choose a simple sentence out of Alana stood on the step,I waited for the bus or I got a call for 5 minutes and I choose to do the sentence I waited for the bus.Also for this activity we had to add in one sentence/word for each new line.Every time that we add something new in we have to start another sentence and write more things.We had to write a adjective,when,where,how and why.  Here is my explanation

Goal Setting

 For this activity we had to read off our sheet of paper that says the questions from the test that we have done and see what our goals will be depending on what questions that you got wrong.Also we are doing a personal goal which is a goal that can be something at home or something else that you want to work on I really enjoyed this activity.

Poetry Anthology

We have been learning a variety of different types of poems such as Cinquain,Acrostic,Haiku,Raps,and Limerick poems.Most of these Poems are really hard but I gave them a go but the hardest poem to write was probably a Limerick and my favourite Poem was my acrostic poem because I like writing acrostic poems about my dog.

Westport Camp

Recently we got back from an Amazing Camp in Westport and it was really fun we did so many amazing interesting things on Camp we all really enjoyed it and for this years Camp our topic was mining so we learnt a lot about the mines and we even went to a working mine which was called Stockton so for this activity we had to make a slide about Camp and add in 3 things that we learnt and 3 of our favourite things that we did on Camp and I also added in some photos.
